# Customize Your Ring Jenny AI Agent Greeting and Voice Style

> Personalize the first words your callers hear — set your agent's name, tone, and opening line to perfectly match your brand's voice.

The greeting is the first impression your callers get when Ring Jenny picks up. A well-crafted greeting sets the right tone, immediately reassures the caller they've reached the right place, and makes the interaction feel natural. You can customize everything from the opening words to the agent's name and overall tone.

## Tips for a Great Greeting

<Accordion title="Keep it under 10 seconds">
  Callers want to feel heard quickly. A greeting that runs longer than about 10 seconds can feel like a recording and cause callers to disengage before Ring Jenny even gets to help them. Aim for one sentence — your business name, agent name, and a simple prompt.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Always include your business name">
  Callers should know immediately they've reached the right place. Including your business name in the first few words eliminates any confusion and builds caller confidence from the very first second.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Avoid jargon and abbreviations">
  Ring Jenny reads your greeting text phonetically. Abbreviations, acronyms, or internal shorthand may be mispronounced. Write out words in full — for example, use "Doctor" instead of "Dr." and "and" instead of "&."
</Accordion>

<Tip>
  Try both **Professional** and **Casual** tones using the preview feature before you decide. What sounds natural in writing doesn't always translate the way you expect when spoken aloud — listen to both and pick the one that best reflects how your team actually speaks to customers.
