Every Ring Jenny plan comes with a monthly minute allowance that covers the AI call handling time for your business. Understanding how minutes are counted — and keeping an eye on your usage — helps you stay in control and ensures Ring Jenny is always there when your customers call.

What Are “Minutes”?

Minutes measure the total time Ring Jenny spends actively handling calls on your behalf each month. The clock starts when Ring Jenny answers a call and stops when the call ends. All of that active handling time counts toward your monthly allowance.
Partial minutes are rounded up to the nearest whole minute. A 1 minute 10 second call counts as 2 minutes.

What does NOT count toward your minutes

Not every call uses up your allowance. Ring Jenny is smart about filtering out calls that don’t deserve your time — or your minutes.

Spam Calls Blocked

Calls that Ring Jenny’s spam detection automatically blocks before they connect are not counted toward your monthly minutes.

Robocalls Detected Early

If Ring Jenny determines within the first few seconds that a call is a robocall, it disconnects and the call is not counted toward your minutes.

Tips for Managing Your Minutes

Make the most of your monthly allowance with these best practices.

Enable spam filtering

Make sure spam filtering is active so Ring Jenny automatically blocks junk calls before they eat into your allowance. Check your spam settings at Dashboard > Settings > Call Handling.

Review your Insights regularly

Visit Dashboard > Insights > Usage to see which call types and time periods consume the most minutes. Identifying patterns helps you decide whether to adjust how Ring Jenny handles certain calls.

Upgrade before you hit the limit

If you’re regularly using more than 80% of your monthly minutes, consider upgrading to the next plan. Upgrading before you run out prevents any gap in service for your callers.
