How FAQs Work with Training Data
Ring Jenny uses both training data and FAQs together on every call. Training provides the background context — your business type, services, location, and hours. FAQs provide exact scripted answers for the specific questions you care about most. When a caller’s question matches an FAQ, the FAQ answer takes priority. You don’t need an FAQ for every possible question. Use FAQs for the questions where the exact wording of your answer matters — pricing, policies, guarantees, and calls to action like booking or getting a quote.
How to Add FAQs
1
Go to Agent Settings > FAQs
Log in to your Ring Jenny dashboard and click FAQs from the navigation bar. You’ll see a list of any FAQs you’ve already added, plus the option to create new ones.
2
Click 'Add FAQ'
Click the Add FAQ button in the top right corner. A form will appear with two fields: Question and Answer.
3
Enter the Question
Type the question the way your customers actually ask it over the phone. You don’t need to cover every possible variation — Ring Jenny understands natural language and will match similar phrasings automatically. For example, entering “Do you offer free estimates?” will also match “Is the estimate free?” and “How much does a quote cost?”
4
Write Your Answer
Type the exact response you want Ring Jenny to say. Write it as you would speak it on a phone call — conversational, clear, and concise. Aim for 2–3 sentences at most.
5
Save the FAQ
Click Save to add the FAQ to Ring Jenny’s knowledge base. It becomes active immediately on all incoming calls.
6
Repeat for Your Top Questions
Work through your most-asked questions one by one. Start with the highest-volume topics — hours, pricing, location, services — and add more over time as you identify gaps from your call transcripts.

FAQ Writing Tips
Write for the phone, not the page
Your FAQ answers will be spoken aloud. Read them out loud before saving — if they sound stiff or written, rewrite them in a more natural speaking voice.
Keep answers to 2–3 sentences
Callers lose focus quickly. A concise answer is more effective than a thorough one — if a caller needs more detail, Ring Jenny can take a message or book a callback.
Start with your highest-volume questions
Check your call transcripts for recurring questions. Add FAQs for those first — they’ll have the biggest impact on call quality right away.
Include a call to action where it fits
If the answer to a question naturally leads to booking or a callback, include that prompt in the answer. For example: “I can book that for you right now if you’d like.”
